The Vollrath Co. has named Fred Fritchen its director of national accounts, giving him leadership of the manufacturer's strategic sales team.
Vollrath said Fritchen brings extensive experience in the foodservice industry. That background includes building customer partnerships, leading strategic growth initiatives and helping organizations create value for major national account customers and channel partners.
What the role covers
In the position, Fritchen will oversee Vollrath's national account strategy and lead its strategic sales team. The company said the focus of the role is on strengthening key customer relationships, identifying opportunities for growth, and aligning strategic sales efforts with the needs of Vollrath's customers.
That places both personnel leadership and the company's approach to major national accounts under a single director. Strategic sales planning, in turn, is framed around what those customers require.
Sales leadership comment
Larry Deutsch, senior director of sales, said in a release that Fritchen brings a strong combination of foodservice experience, strategic account leadership and a proven ability to build lasting customer relationships. Deutsch added that his experience and leadership would be valuable as Vollrath continues strengthening strategic customer partnerships and identifying growth opportunities.
Both the role description and Deutsch's comments return to two themes: strategic customer partnerships and growth opportunities.
Separately, Vollrath noted that Andrew Cronau also recently joined the manufacturer. Cronau took part in FER's How To Spec Live in September.
