  • The Canadian-exclusive line spans 145 kW to 1,200 kW, with the largest model offering onboard 600 V output for industrial loads.
  • Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generators for Canadian contractors, including 145 kW and 210 kW canopy units and a 1,200 kW model with onboard 600 V output. The company says the units are designed for remote industrial sites and temporary power applications, including data centres.

Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generators designed for remote Canadian work sites. The units are available in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1,200 kW capacities at 600 V and will be offered exclusively to Canadian contractors, according to the company. The launch expands Aggreko's Canadian product range for commercial and industrial power users.

The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units that Aggreko describes as readily deployable for immediate energy needs. The 1,200 kW model is intended for large industrial loads. Aggreko says all three generators are configured to meet Canadian market and regulatory requirements and are CSA and UN31A compliant for electrical and fuel regulations. Aggreko says the generators use its latest technologies to deliver reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications while being configured for Canadian contractors.

Direct 600 V output on the largest unit

Aggreko says the 1,200 kW model's onboard 600 V capability eliminates the need for additional step-up transformers. According to the company, direct 600 V output reduces project complexity, enhances cost-efficiency and minimizes potential points of failure. The company positions the 1,200 kW unit for operations that need high-capacity power without adding transformer equipment. That configuration is particularly relevant for large industrial loads where 600 V is frequently required, Aggreko says.

Canadian market focus

Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko, said tailoring the company's most advanced generators for Canadian customers underscores the importance of the market. He cited large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast and remote territories, along with construction and data centre sectors, as sources of demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured. Aggreko says these sectors require power solutions suited to remote locations and specific electrical configurations.

The new generators add to Aggreko's Canadian fleet, which ranges from 25 kW to 1,200 kW. Through its network of Canadian service centres, Aggreko says its energy experts will work with customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events to deploy temporary power for a range of applications.

Aggreko describes all three Tier 4 Final models as providing industry-leading fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements. The company also points to Canada's expanding data centre industry, where provincial regulators are looking to limit how much power operators pull from the grid. For those operations, Aggreko says the generators can provide off-grid energy while keeping data centres operational in a way that is minimally disruptive to communities. The models are aimed at temporary-power applications where grid access is limited or where operators face constraints on grid use.
